What is a qr code generator?
This tool turns any text or URL into a downloadable QR code, with adjustable size and error-correction level. Higher error correction lets the code still scan correctly even if part of it is damaged or obscured, at the cost of a slightly denser pattern.
How to use this tool
- 1Type or paste the text or URL you want encoded.
- 2Adjust size and error-correction level if needed.
- 3The QR code updates live.
- 4Click Download PNG to save it.

Frequently asked questions
What does the error-correction level (L/M/Q/H) mean?
It controls how much of the code can be damaged or obscured while still scanning correctly - L is lowest (least redundancy, more data capacity), H is highest (most redundancy, less capacity). M is a reasonable default for most uses.
Is there a limit to how much text I can encode?
QR codes have a maximum data capacity that depends on the error-correction level - very long text may fail to generate at higher error-correction settings; try a lower level or shorter text if that happens.
What format does it download as?
A PNG image, ready to use in documents, print materials, or web pages.
Is my data sent anywhere?
No - the QR code is generated entirely in your browser.
